The Center for Health Policy provides leadership and technical support for the State Epidemiology and Outcomes Workgroup (SEOW).

SEOW was established April 2006 to review the epidemiological profile of substance use and abuse in Indiana and to develop data-based recommendations to the Governor's Advisory Council (GAC) regarding SPF priorities for prevention funding.

Selection of SPF SIG Target Priorities

Based on an assessment of the available data on capacity and funding, the intervention science literature, and the political situation across the state, the Council, Executive Committee, and SEOW developed a matrix to guide the selection of the priorities to be the focus of SPF SIG funding.
Allocation of Funds to High Need Communities

Upon recommendations by the SEOW, the Council will allocate funds to high need communities based on a discrete set of allocation indicators. The allocation formulas used to identify high-need communities are described.
