Abstract:
The Center for Health Policy (CHP) conducted a mental health
and addiction services needs assessment for North Central Health Services (NCHS) in Benton,
Carroll, Clinton, Fountain, Montgomery, Tippecanoe, Warren, and White counties. For this
purpose, an epidemiologic profile on mental illness and substance abuse was completed,
existing resources (facilities, providers, programs, and services) were reviewed, capacity was
assessed, and service gaps were identified. Based on the assessment, the CHP proposes
data-driven funding recommendations to meet the treatment needs of the communities.
