The Center for Health Policy, in partnership with The Arc of Indiana, explores the issue of the diversity gap in disability service careers. Research indicates that people with disabilities achieve more positive outcomes if they share similarities such as race and ethnic backgrounds with their staff, however this requires there to be enough staff who are minorities to serve the population.en_US
