Early Intervention Planning Council (EIPC)

Permanent URI for this collection

In 2006, the Center entered into an agreement with the City-County Council of Indianapolis/Marion County to assist in establishment of the Early Intervention Planning Council (EIPC) as described in City-County Ordinance No. 70, 2005.

The purpose of EIPC is to develop a comprehensive plan for early intervention that will provide services tailored to the individual needs of children who have been either adjudicated as, or are alleged in a proceeding initiated under IC 31-37 to be delinquent, or identified by the Office of Family and Children as substantially at risk of becoming delinquent children, or have been referred to the county office for services to be provided through the plan and/or are referred, with the consent of their parent, legal guardian, or custodian, to the Marion County Office of Family and Children for services.

The Center directed and managed the establishment of the EIPC, and monitors and evaluates the implementation of the initial plan. The EIPC management team is directed by Dr. Eric Wright.
