dc.description.abstractRobert W. Holden was born in Brazil, Indiana and worked to earn his undergraduate pharmaceutical degree from Purdue University in 1958 and his medical degree from the Indiana University School of Medicine five years later. Some time after serving as a medical officer in the United States Army, he joined the IU Faculty in 1973 and later became a professor with full benefits in 1982, and he later became the chairman of the board to the IU School of Medicine’s Department of Radiology. He had received several awards during his career: the Distinguished Alumni Award from Purdue University, the Bowen Distinguished Leadership Award from the IU School of Medicine, and the Gold Medal Award from the Indiana Roentgen Society.en_US
